Education

  • A.A. – Graphic Arts, Southeast Missouri State – Cape Girardeau

Experience

Being a first-generation college graduate, mother, and educator, I understand the plethora of challenges and fears that many of our students (and parents) face when making post-secondary education decisions.  For the past 15 years, I have assisted youth in creating a faith-centered relationship with Christ via church ministries and after-school clubs to build personal value systems, practical skills, and a positive outlook on life. Additionally, I am a national and local member of CHADD, OASIS, GRASP, and Autism Speaks, organizations designed to provide academic, social, and familial support for those affected by ADHD, autism, learning disabilities, and mental health disorders.

Areas of Responsibility

As the administrative assistant for Upward Bound, my primary responsibility is to function as the communication liaison for the department, students and parents. I am responsible for an assortment of administrative tasks including: special projects, data management, and customer relations.  I also provide supplemental support and encouragement to our scholars to remind each of them that education offers infinite possibilities.  "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." Phil. 4:13

Hobbies

As a woman after God’s own heart, I take pride in being the wife to the love of my life for the past 24 years and an active mother to three amazing sons (two are currently pursuing degrees at the University of Northwestern Ohio, and my youngest is a thriving 8th grader.  I am the proud sponsor of my eldest son's auto racing team (Kretchmer Racing) and loyal supporter of my youngest two sons in their chosen activities of lacrosse, fencing, wrestling, and soccer.  In my leisure, I enjoy traveling, painting, cooking, crafts, camping, trail-walking with our dogs, youth empowerment, and attending the opera/theatre.
