In support of two-time breast cancer survivor, Paqui Kelly and the Kelly Cares Foundation, UB students participated in this year’s Pink Out Zumba to mark the start of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Taking place at the ND football stadium, participants completed an intense hour of Zumba! “I’m tired, but this was great! It’s nice to see the guys participate too...it helps to bring awareness to men as well,” said UB Scholar, Denny Guo. Alongside over 1,000 community members (including the ND Leprechaun), students celebrated survivors and extended a moment of silence to those that succumbed to the battle with cancer.
For participating, attendees received a Kelly Cares Foundation bag filled with [pink] information regarding breast cancer research and patient advocacy.
