High School Hurdles: What will it take to get a diploma in 2023?


Last week, the Indiana State Board of Education approved a major overhaul of Indiana's high school graduation requirements - despite significant concerns from Hoosier educators. 

Beginning with the 2023 graduating class, new graduation pathways will mandate that all Indiana high school students will be required to demonstrate both work-ready skills and post-secondary education preparedness — in addition to completing a traditional academic program — to earn a high school diploma.
