Congratulations to Willow Crisovan of John Adams High School on receiving a Gold Key at this year's Scholastic Art Awards hosted by the South Bend Museum of Art. The Scholastic Art & Writing Award program has sought to encourage, foster, and reward creativity in our nation’s classrooms and to confer recognition on emerging talent. The award also represents a comprehensive national annual assessment of the creative spirit among middle and high school students. Awards are given based on freedom of expression, a blind adjudication process, and work criteria based on originality, technical proficiency, and the emergence of personal voice by a panel of 50 jurors solicited from the local arts and education community.
The Gold Key is the highest level of achievement on the regional level.
Willow is now a finalist for the National Scholastic Art Award.
